As part of the DFO science advisory process, peer reviews are conducted to address a number of scientific questions related to the management of Canadian oceans and the conservation of marine and freshwater resources. The issues examined relate to the health of marine ecosystems, the conservation of species at risk, and the status and trends of different stocks of fish, invertebrates and marine mammals in Canada.

The DFO Science Advisory Schedule is a dynamic online tool that includes information on upcoming peer reviews. In addition, there is information on advisory processes that have been conducted in the past. For each assessment, information such as the meeting date and subject, location, type of advisory process, lead Region, contact person(s), and additional details and publications are made available.

The schedule is updated as changes are reported by the members of our coordination team.
